Female Striped Bark Scorpion (Centruoides vittatus) carrying her brood on her back. She'd been lurking under a cinder block out by the driveway into waterstone. The shot was made with a Canon 1Ds Mark III using a 300mm lens with a 2x teleconverter and forced flash. Exposure was manual, set at f/18, 250s, ISO 400
